With the end of our summer season fast approaching, it is worth recording our progress this year. With the last few years being very challenging to say the least, at last we can see a brighter future for our Club. Saturday 23 September, saw us host local guide and scout groups for a beach safety awareness day. 2 hours of activities in the sea, was followed by a B-B-Q for the 49 young people who took part. We couldn’t have done this last year, but now with containers in the Welsh Water compound and support from S.Jones Containers Ltd., Welsh Water and the East Wales branch of the RLSS we achieved a fantastic day for all, with even the weather kind for us.
Winter Swimming at Hebron Hall, Dinas Powys has now restarted on Thursday evenings, 7.30 – 8.30pm. We are now in a position to start recruiting, so new prospective members are very much welcome to attend.
We have now launched our Christmas raffle again, after stopping during the Covid period. Tickets are available from any of our members, £500 first prize, drawn on the 27 November.
